Corrine's Cottage Meal Program

Corrine's Cottage (formerly known as Tikkun House) is a safe house in Escondido for homeless, mentally ill or abused women.  The women at Corrine's Cottage are taught life skills by their on-site resident manager.

Sisterhood volunteers prepare a healthy meal for eight residents-in-need at Corrine's Cottage in Escondido, preferably with at least one home-made item, and deliver to Corrine's Cottage by 3:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month.

Prepare Sack Lunches for Interfaith Community Services (ICS)

Temple Adat Shalom has been part of ICS for many years--our congregants helped found this important community resource. ICS implements comprehensive programs to provide basic needs, social services, counseling, and economic development to empower the disadvantaged in our community. Our congregation periodically holds food drives, including our biggest food drive at the High Holidays, to help keep the ICS pantry filled.

Once a month, TAS members provide sack lunches (which we make at home) to people experiencing homelessness at ICS in Escondido.  We do this on the third Tuesday of each month.  We can always use "more hands" if you are interested in doing a wonderful mitzvah!   Please contact Sharon Stanford, Coordinator, at sharon-7789@cox.net or 760-518-7789 for more information.
