New York Tenement Museum Virtual Tour

Temple Adat Shalom is hosting a virtual tour of the Tenement Museum of New York on Sunday, May 23 at 3:30 p.m.  The tour will last one hour and costs $36 per device.  Sign up as early as possible as space will be limited! The tour will be held via Zoom and is a great fun and educational experience for all ages.  The tour is private--for our group--and will be interactive, so questions are encouraged. 

In addition, TAS is offering deli meals (from D.Z. Akins), for purchase, that will be available for pick-up the day of the event. Details and pricing, below. Click here for the flyer.

The Tenement Museum provides many opportunities to understand the experiences of immigrants and migrants, and the fundamental role they play in defining our national identity. The museum’s two historic buildings were home to thousands of residents in the Lower East Side neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. The Tenement Museum's private virtual tours offer groups a chance to 'visit' our recreated apartments from anywhere in the world. During a live, online interactive event, a Tenement Museum Educator will share stories of immigrant families who lived in our historic buildings using video, audio recordings, images, historical documents, and photographs.
