12th Grade
Twelfth Grade Graduation
In twelfth grade, as they prepare for the independence of post-high school life, our students will choose the subjects they would like to
cover and study. No topic is off the table, from abortion to LGBT+,
to indigenous rights to navigating their first year out of high school. Always drawing from Jewish sources, we will empower our students
in knowing where to turn, how to interpret, how to apply and how to
add to the rich millennia-long tradition that is their legacy. Prior to
their Jewish Heritage Trip, students write and share a service of graduation, at which our congregation honors their individuality and achievements.
For their final Jewish Heritage Trip, our twelfth graders travel to
New York City. There they visit Ellis Island, the Jewish Museum,
the 9/11 Memorial, the Tenement Museum, tour the Lower East Side,
