Youth and Education Introduction
Our dynamic youth and education programs provide our students with opportunities for study, enrichment, and
friendship. Our Ganon Gil Early Childhood Center accepts children as young as two years and continues to serve them through kindergarten. Our award winning Mosad Shalom Religious School has over 300 students enrolled from kindergarten through 10th grade. Our Youth Groups offer activities for children in grades 4 through 12. Students in our B'nai Mitzvah program are taught to read Torah, chant Haftarah and lead our congregation in worship in a memorable B’nai Mitzvah ceremony. Our Confirmation program prepares our young people to formulate an adult approach to Judaism, to the Jewish community and to the application of Jewish values to the difficult challenges of the adult world. Our accredited, award-winning Hebrew for High School Credit program offers students the option of studying Hebrew in classes that are taught completely in Hebrew. Not only does this program fulfill high school requirements, but it also has UC approval and appeals to a wide range of college admissions officers. Our Madrichim Program gives students in grades 8-12 the opportunity to be teacher assistants in Mosad Shalom Religious School classes. This gives older students the opportunity to be a positive role model and influence younger children in our school. |
