Jeffrey Frankel has been involved in the field of Jewish Communal Service just over 20 years. Jeffrey was born and raised
in Los Angeles and came from a strong temple background as the first second generation Bar Mitzvah for the congregation where
his father served as President and his Grandfather served as Cantor. He received his BA in Psychology from the University of
Judaism, and has certifications from Brandeis University, Phoenix's Bureau of Jewish Education Florence Melton Adult Mini-School
and other major Jewish and secular institutions.
Jeffrey began his professional career as the Regional Director of Southern Region B'nai B'rith Youth Organization overseeing
the Youth Leadership Development in Georgia and South Carolina, before moving west to become the Regional Director in Mountain
Region for a three state region. In 2001 Jeffrey shifted his attentions to Synagogue Administration, as he begun to work for
Beth El Congregation in Phoenix, Arizona where he rose to the role of Synagogue Administrator. What would become his last year
at Beth El, happened to be their 75th Anniversary in which a large scale development plan coincided and he got bit by the
fundraising bug. Jeffrey continued on in the Metropolitan Phoenix area, as the Business Manager of Development and Admissions
for the King David School, and served as Interim Administrator overseeing the "Bar Mitzvah of the Building" Campaign for Temple
Kol Ami. Most recently, Jeffrey has served as the Campaign Director for the Jewish Federation of Palm Springs and Desert Area
for the past 3 seasons. Jeffrey says, "I wanted to return to a congregational family. I recall from my childhood what I now
know as compassion (rachamim), soul (nefesh), and spirit (ruach). I wanted my own family to understand what it means to connect
and engage to a temple family, and we are so excited to be part of the TAS family!" Jeffrey is married to Rachel and lives
with their two children, Isaiah and Sofia.
